Calipers offers users the convenience of taking measurements on the go.
For larger objects, the app provides a 5-meter tape measure feature. Users can align their iPhone's 'zero' with the starting point of the measurement on a surface, then slide their device while holding a finger steady at the base. The process is repeated until the full measurement is obtained.
For smaller objects, users can utilize the calipers mode to measure items with a precision of up to a tenth of a millimeter. By placing an object on the screen and adjusting the top and bottom guides until they are barely visible, accurate measurements can be achieved. To enhance precision, users have the option to fine-tune measurements using the 'plus' and 'minus' buttons, adjusting by increments of 1/10th of a millimeter.
It is worth noting that six out of the top 10 free apps in this category may display inaccuracies of up to 10% on iPhone 12 & 13 Mini models or under specific accessibility settings. In response to this potential discrepancy, Calipers has undergone extensive testing to guarantee measurement accuracy across all scenarios.
